Mochdre HQ and Betsi the Bus
Mochdre HQ is the heart of all we do at Youth Shedz Cymru — a busy, welcoming base where so much of our work begins and grows. It is home to our Learn Programme, supporting young people not currently in education, as well as our Pupil Referral Unit provision, outreach bus Betsi, Media Meet Ups, and Conwy Youth Service Youth Club. As a hub of opportunity, creativity and support, Mochdre HQ also houses our new podcast studio, making it a place where young people can connect, learn, create and belong.
Blaenau Ffestiniog
Blaenau Youth Shed was originally created in response to Covid, supporting young people living in supported accommodation at a time when connection and community mattered more than ever. Today, the group is on hold as its Shedderz have grown up and moved into new chapters of life — college, babies, new jobs — all wonderful examples of the natural life cycle of a Youth Shed. Even so, their journey is far from over, as they are now helping us shape a new alumni pathway called Youth Shedz Community Pioneers, giving those who move on the chance to stay part of the family and remain connected beyond the usual weekly sessions.
Buckley
Buckley Youth Shed, based at Buckley Cross Community Centre, is home to 6 dedicated Shedderz and was originally established at the request of North Wales Police. Since then, the group has become a great example of young people stepping up for the place they call home, spending their time caring for and giving back to their community. Buckley Youth Shed shows the power of trusting young people with purpose, responsibility and the chance to make a real difference.

Colwyn Bay
Colwyn Bay Youth Shed, led by Hannah and Sonia, is currently without a permanent home and meeting from our Mochdre HQ. Even so, the group continues to be a fantastic example of what it really means to live out the Youth Shedz principles wherever they gather. Their journey is proof that a Youth Shed is not defined by a building, but by the people, the relationships and the shared commitment to belonging, purpose and community.
Denbigh
Denbigh Youth Shed is the original Shed — the place where it all began. Today, it brings together young people from Hafod Homeless Prevention Hub and pupils from the local high school who are part of our Youth Shed Learn provision. At its heart, Denbigh Youth Shed continues to provide a safe, purposeful space where young people can belong, grow and be supported to stay in school, improve behaviour, increase attendance and develop a more positive attitude to learning.
Ruthin Youth Shed
Ruthin Youth Shed is an exciting new franchise shed, led by Adam and Bernadette through Ruthin Artisan Market CIC. Rooted in community and creativity, the shed is already showing great promise as a space where young people can gather, build relationships, develop skills and feel a real sense of belonging. With strong local leadership and a passion for creating opportunities, Ruthin Youth Shed is set to become a valuable part of the wider Youth Shedz family and an important support for young people in Ruthin.
Kinmel Bay
Kinmel Bay Youth Shed is currently in an exciting season of transition, moving from being part of our Youth Shedz family into the hands of Kinmel Bay Church. The Youth Shed is now being redesigned by KBC Youth and will become part of their youth discipleship programme, creating a new chapter for the space and the young people it serves. As the fourth generation of young people to benefit from the Youth Shedz journey in Kinmel Bay, it is a powerful example of legacy, growth and a model continuing to evolve for the next generation.

Llanduno Junction
Llandudno Junction Youth Shed is a brilliant example that a Youth Shed is the people, not the building. In the summer, these Youth Shedz pioneers meet at Betsi the Bus at Llandudno Junction Football Club, creating a space full of belonging, purpose and community spirit. When the bus is off the road during the winter, a smaller group of pioneers continues to get involved in other projects, still serving their community in true Shedz fashion.
Coleg Y Cymoedd
Coleg y Cymoedd Youth Shed is a new South Wales franchise initiative designed to help young people who have been out of education settle into college life with confidence. By creating a safe, supportive and relationship-led space on campus, the Youth Shed will help students acclimatise to a new environment, build belonging, and develop the routines and trust needed to succeed. The aim is not only to support transition, but to improve retention by helping young people feel that college is somewhere they can stay, grow and thrive.
Bangor
Maes G Youth Shed is the newest Youth Shedz franchise, being set up on the Maes G estate in Bangor by local Champions Aaron and Colette. Built with a heart to reach young people who often struggle to engage with traditional youth clubs and education, the Youth Shed will offer a safe, welcoming and different kind of space where they can belong, build confidence and find support. With strong local leadership and a real understanding of the community, Maes G Youth Shed hopes to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people on the estate.
Virtual Reality Shed
A groundbreaking initiative providing young people a safe, accessible virtual space to connect, learn, and explore. With VR headsets and an immersive environment, Shedderz can experience activities like a custom escape room, and important awareness programs on topics such as County Lines and Knife Crime.
Wrexham
Tan y Gaer Youth Shed is a truly special part of the Youth Shedz family. Based in a children’s home in Wrexham, it is a unique Youth Shed that forms part of the education and everyday development of the children living there. From creating First Night in Care Packs to setting up their own Youth Shed Remote Control Club, the group shows how meaningful projects, creativity and belonging can flourish in even the most unexpected places.

Llysfaen Youth Shed
Llysfaen Youth Shed, based at Llysfaen Community Association, is a vital part of our learning and engagement work. Our dedicated Learn Hub is where we deliver our 1-to-1 provision to young people from Pupil Referral Units and care homes, offering a safe and supportive space to build trust, confidence and connection. Surrounded by excellent sports facilities, Llysfaen is also home to our annual Shed Fest — the special event that brings all of our young people together to celebrate being part of Youth Shedz.
